Senior Anthony Brunetti rushed for 237 yards on 24 carries. His two touchdown runs included a 53 yarder. On defense he was responsible for 10 solo tackles.

In his varsity debut Steven Browne scored five touchdowns. His 318 total yards anchored Ford's 42 - 27 win over Lutheran.

Senior Hakim Rice had a total of 306 yards in the Eagles 35 -14 loss to St. John the Baptist. His efforts included 170 yards on 36 carries and 136 yards on 3 kickoff returns.

Senior leadership is required to defeat any defending champ. Dean Marlowe provided that leadership in every way. From the QB position Dean was 21 of 34 for 234 yards with 3 TD's. His efforts included 2 rushing TD's. From his defensive position he had 3 tackles. And as the punt returner he has two returns totaling 31 yards. Dean has committed to James Madison.

In the Vikings 41 - 14 win over Mount Senior Andrew Armato ran for 210 yards on 33 carries. His efforts also included blocking for teammate Lyle McCombs who rushed for 176 yards. Andrew is an honor student who plans on attending an Ivy league school.

Anthony Dilorenzo QB (Kellenberg)
Senior Anthony Dilorenzo came up big in Kellenberg's first AAA win this season. In his first year as a starter Dilorenzo has struggled to overcome the high level of the AAA. But in Week 3 he went 14 for 25, 179 yards and two TD's. He also rushed for one TD and 42 yards.

The bad news for the NYCHSFL is that Freshman Michael Viegas is only beginning his career. In his first season Viegas has been named NY Post Player of the Week and CHSFL Player of the Week. In Farrell's dominating win over Xaverian Viegasrushed for 260 yards on 24 carries. His rushing efforts were capped off with three touchdowns. In addition, Viegas caught two passes for 46 yards.
Matthew Wilson G/NG (Holy Trinity)
In Holy Trinity's 19 - 14 win over Holy Cross offensive and defensive line play were critical components that sealed the Titan victory. Senior Matthew Wislon was at the core of both the offensive and defensive lines. Wilson led the way on defense with 6 solo tackles. His efforts anchored a defensive that held the Knights to 214 total yards. The focal point of the offense was Wilson where the brunt of the gains were achieved running behind his Gaurd spot. The turning point of the game was a 4th and 2 play that was sucessful and keyed a decisive drive.
Bruce Grant RB (Fordham Prep)
Senior Bruce Grant took the responsibility of leading his team to victory to heart. His effort helped to secure the Rams 32 - 25 victory over St. Francis. Grant had 10 double digit carries resulting in 8 first downs and 2 touchdowns. Grant had 32 carries for a total of 293 rushing yards. His touchdown runs were fromm 66 and 43 yards out. he added a 35 yard kick return for a touchdown.

J.C. Woods RB (St. Anthony's)
Senior J.C. Woods all around day began with an 80 kickoff return that set up St. Anthony's first touchdown in the Friars win over Mount. He set up the Friars second touchdown with a 27 yard punt return. Woods also rushed for two touchdowns.
Tyrell Goodman QB (Stepinac)

The no huddle offense of Stepinac has been the key to the Crusaders 4 - 0 start. The backbone of the offense has been QB Tyrell Goodman. In the Stepinac win over Christ the King the senior was 10 for 12, 130 yards and 1 touchdown. His effort included 5 rushes for 28 yards.
Paul Mitton OT/DE (Holy Trinity)
For the second week Anthony Brunetti was sprung on an opponent by a dominant offensive line. In the Titans win over Chaminade senior Paul Mitton led the way for Brunetti's 359 yard effort. From the tackle position helped to lead the Titans to 466 total yards. On defense Mitton had 5 tackles and 2 QB sacks. He also kept the pressure on the Flyers offense and forced and INT.

In St. Joseph's victory over Chaminade Senior Lyle McCombs was both a follower, 268 yards on 33 carries and 4 touchdowns, and a leader, blocking for teamate Andrew Armato, 199 and one touchdown.

In Mount Saint Michael's first win Gary Acquah dominated on both sides of the ball. On Offense the senior rushed for 183 yards, 3 touchdowns on 21 carries. On defense the Mount captain anchored the defense with 4 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles.
Frank Antetomaso (Kellenberg)![]()
In a difficult lose to Fordham senior Frank Antetomaso helped to keep Kellenberg within striking distance. Antetomaso caught 8 passes for 217 yards and one touchdown. In the game he totaled 239 yards.
Jeremiah Kobena (Cardinal Hayes)![]()
Syracuse bound, Jeremiah Kobena, had a day for the record books. The Senior running back runningback rushed for six touchdowns against division rival St. John the Baptist. His five rushing TD's were 45, 75, 3, 5 and 20 yards. His all purpose yards for the day were 361 yards and included an 85 yard punt return TD.

Chris Mattina (Xavier)

Senior Chris Mattina had a hand in every phase of Xavier's 35-0 win over Bishop Ford. On Offense he averaged 9.3 yards per carry while totaling 103 yards on 11 carries. On defense he had 5 tackles and broke up a Ford TD pass attempt. The junior also went 3 for 4 in extra point attempts and has continued to average over 50 yards per kickoff thus assuring opposing offenses poor field position at the start of each drive.
Chris Brathwaite (Holy Cross)

Holy Cross head coach Tom Pugh stated that senior lineman, Chris Brathwaite, "imposed his will" on both sides of the ball in the Crusaders win over Kellenberg. From his offensive line position the three year starter led the surge that produced 5 touchdowns. On defense the defensive tackle had 7 tackles and one sack.

The accomplishments of Josh Powell continue to pileup. The three year starter and All league player can ad MVP of the Joe Riverso to his resume. In the Stepinac win over St. Peter's Powell scored 3 touchdowns on six catches which totaled 179 yards. His MVP performance included rushing for 54 yards on three carries. Defensively, the team captain assisted on two tackles and had four unassited tackles.
